2001The one man show begins: MeisterSinger starts with the first four product lines in the autumn. Despite the difficult economic situation within the watch industry, MeisterSinger becomes an unexpected success.
2002The original collection expands. The single-hand and three-hand watches become available in a smaller 38mm casing. MeisterSinger takes part in the large international Baselworld fair for the first time to a great reception.
2003MeisterSinger doubles its sales from the previous year and continues to do so until 2005. The tremendous growth presents major challenges, but the balancing act proves successful. With the 1Z edition featuring an enamel dial and a finely decorated Unitas mechanism (222 pieces), MeisterSinger launches its classic model in a version for watch connoisseurs in the with sophisticated requirements.
2004The classic – the MeisterSinger N°01 (called 1Z at the time) – is awarded “Watch of the Year” in the Netherlands. After the Basel fair in 2004, MeisterSinger receives orders from over 12 countries. The company is bursting at the seams. A move to more spacious offices is needed.
2005Ranking: Design ranks MeisterSinger among the 100 top designers and manufacturers in the industry. At the “Goldene Unruh” awards in 2005, consumers vote for the classic, which receives second place its category (up to €500).
| 2006Unomatik is the name of the first single-hand watch to which MeisterSinger adds a function: the power reserve. Again, MeisterSinger has to move its offices due to lack of space. We now enjoy a view of the water from the fourth floor of a mondernised warehouse building in the harbour area and creative pier of Münster.
2007The MeisterSinger N°03 is awarded the “Good Design Award 2007” by the Chicago Athenaeum. At the Baselworld fair, MeisterSinger achieves record sales yet again.
2008For the first time, the international MeisterSinger team can serve its customers in a large enough exhibition stand in Basel. The stand’s expansion bears fruit as record new sales are achieved by achieving new record sales. The committees of two major design centers award the Monograph for outstanding design. The nomination for the German Design Award subsequently follows.
2009Despite the financial and industry crisis, 2009 proves to be the most successful year to date. In spite of the general industry crisis, the company continues to grow and successfully presents new models. MeisterSinger’s Singular and Perigraph are both awarded the red dot award for product design.
20102010 is an important year for MeisterSinger. The company presents its new brand presence at the industry fair in Basel. A large-scale image campaign brought the new design to the public. Simultaneously, MeisterSinger continues to expand and is immediately also available in Canada, Panama and India. The first production of the new Pangaea with a manual winding mechanism and slimmer 40mm casing is almost sold out in November.
2011 The year started in March with the most successful Baselworld fair in the company’s history. Our revamped stand created a pleasant café atmosphere. MeisterSinger got it spot on with the new NEO, which is available both as a single-hand and two-hand watch, whose 1950s retro casing is well received. To mark its ten year anniversary, MeisterSinger release a special 24 hour edition as a souvenir. |
